COVID-19 health and safety standards

  • In order to respect performance times and to comply with health and safety regulations, the public is kindly requested to arrive at the theatre half an hour in advance. There will be no admittance to the auditorium once the performance has begun.
  • The auditorium will be cleaned and ventilated before and after each performance.
  • Pursuant to Royal Decree 286/2022, as of 20 April 2022, the use of face masks will no longer be compulsory in theatres and indoor spaces. The Teatro Español and Naves del Español at Matadero recommend their use in spaces where large crowds may gather and when it is not possible to maintain the safety distance.
  • Hydroalcoholic gel will be available at the entrance to the theatre.
  • Entering and exiting must be done in a gradual and orderly manner following the signs on the information panels.
  • Messages will be broadcast over the public address system and security attendants will be on duty to help people to enter and leave the room in an orderly manner before and after the performance
  • The programme for each performance will be available on the website www.teatroespanol.es. You can also download it through the QR codes that you will find at the theatre entrances.
  • All members of the artistic teams will have previously passed a Covid-19 test.
  • Due to specific situations derived from Covid-19, there may be changes to the dates of shows programmed at the Teatro Español and Naves del Español at Matadero.

REFUND OF THE COST OF TICKETS FOR THE TEATRO ESPAÑOL AND NAVES DEL ESPAÑOL AT MATADERO MADRID 

You may request the refund of the cost of your tickets up to 30 days after the end of the show.

The Teatro Español and Naves del Español at Matadero will refund the cost of tickets purchased for any of our shows by any spectator who lives in a district that is subject to mobility restrictions. Such spectators should ask us to refund their tickets and must provide proof of residence (an ID card or a supporting document). The refund will be made up to 30 calendar days after the end of the activity or show. Once these 30 days have elapsed, the cost of the ticket will not be refunded but an invitation will be offered for another production staged by the Teatro Español and Naves del Español at Matadero Madrid. The deadline for requesting this invitation is three months. The invitation will be for a show or activity of similar price and will be subject to availability and/or to the capacity of the venue.

TO REQUEST THE REFUND

With regard to the protocol to be followed to recover the cost of tickets purchased at the box office  for performances cancelled due to Covid-19, refunds can be obtained at the following times:
•    The Teatro Español box office is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 2:30 to 6pm.
•    The Naves del Español at Matadero box office is open from Tuesday to Friday from 5:30h to 8:30pm and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, when there is a performance, 2 hours before the performance.
If the purchase was made online, please request your refund by sending an email to entradas@madrid-destino.com together with a copy of your national identity card or any other document that proves that you reside in one of the areas affected by the mobility restrictions.
