Vicente Navarro’s music flows between Spanish and Latin American folklore and urban and electronic music. In June 2019, Vicente released his first album, Casi Tierra, on the El Tragaluz label. It was nominated for best world music and fusion album at the MIN Awards and it’s been included on the bills of such festivals as FIAS 2020, La Mar de Músicas 2021 and Actual Festival 2022.

Casi Tierra reflects on an intrinsic human need, the need to belong, with the land and folklore as the main scenario. Based on this search, the ten songs that make up the album deal with themes such as machismo, the Civil War, the new masculinity and homosexual love. Although Vicente’s voice and the guitar that accompanies him transport us back to times gone by, the electronic arrangements that grace the meticulous production make Casi tierra sound quite contemporary, with influences that range from urban music and dancehall to Spanish and Latin American singer-songwriters of the 1960s and 70s. Vicente is currently working on his second album, which he will be unveiling during the course of 2022. It promises to be the work that will position him as one of the leading lights in Spanish neo-folk.
