ElZurdo plays Spanish, or rather, Mediterranean music. Songs that focus on the streets, their people and their nationalities, with love as the background colour. Rumba, Latin rhythms, tango or pop are eclectically fused into the songs. Through these rhythms, they give support and create the package that contains the group's true seal of identity: its lyrics.
ElZurdo was formed in November 2010 with the aim of creating a repertoire, not only of songs but also of ideas. After playing on different stages and at different events, in August 2012 they recorded their first studio album. The success of this album led them to new venues, theatres and festivals, and they were on the bill of the Womad or Madgarden Festival (currently “Las Noches del Botánico”). Thanks to its meticulous production, their second album, ULTRAMARINO, recorded in 2015, was a major step forward that consolidated the very unique sound of this band.
