In 4.48 Psychosis, Sarah Kane confronts us with the reality of depression, of a state of psychosis, lovelessness and social inadaptation, delving even further into the formal and poetic exploration of dramatic limits.

The author leads us from the sentimental sphere to that of politics, making a profound reflection on evil as an essential part of the human condition - something from which she does not try to save herself either, dominated as she is by feelings of guilt and self-punishment.

The production is intended to enhance the author’s timelessness and topicality, now that suicide is the second most common cause of death among teenagers. But it will also reveal such transversal issues as drug addiction in a society in which there are ever an increasing number of pathologies, or the dictatorship of indifference as normality, sentimental armour in the face of the overdose of information that shamelessly shows us the inequality and violence that govern the world.
