Paris. 17 October 1849. The famous French writer George Sand wishes to bid farewell to the great love of her life, Frederic Chopin. The Polish composer is spending his last days surrounded by family and friends. The writer’s sister however, on the grounds of their stormy break-up, refuses her permission to do so. What words, what gestures, would have passed between them at that farewell? The love story between George Sand and Frederic Chopin, one of the most beautiful of all time, is interwoven with the music of the Nocturnes, pure living poetry.
A reflection on the meaning of life, death and love.
